The Marketing Society / 50 Golden Brands case study 

The client: The Marketing Society is a membership organisation made up of the most influential network of senior marketers in the UK. With over 2,700 members, the Society is dedicated to championing marketing, and considers itself to be “a hub for marketers by marketers… the place where you can connect with your peers through inspirational thinking, thought-leading events, our interactive website and new blog and workshops”.

The challenge: While the Marketing Society was a highly progressive, future-facing organisation, its website clearly wasn’t. Rather than it being a simple repository for information about the Society, they wanted to make the website more interactive, utilising social media to allow all of the members to collaborate and share best practice with each other.

The solution: As Microsoft are sponsors of the Marketing Society, they gave them free licenses to SharePoint – the perfect solution for the Society’s networking needs. Working closely with a design agency, who conceived the way it would look and feel, we built the functionality for the website, enabling the members to log in, make connections and utilise resources such as the video library of events and the Knowledge Zone fully.
